China Campus
The University admitted its first intake of students to the China Campus in 2004 and became the first and only foreign university to establish and run a campus independently within China mainland.
Located at the Higher Education Park in Ningbo, a historic port city on China’s eastern coast, the China Campus covers a substantial 140-acre area of landscaped parkland and builds on the attributes of University Park in the UK, with its own version of Nottingham's famous Trent Building..
Overlooking a central lake, the development provides facilities for 4,000 students and houses a range of academic, residential and support buildings including academic offices, a library, a fully equipped sports centre, restaurants and shops. The campus can be reached from Shanghai in approximately two and a half hours by car or 30 minutes by air.
